The hospital is an example of integrated design, where architect, special techniques engineer and stability engineer work together intensely (MOI). Responsibility for budget control and planning lies with the design team. Comfort and operational safety (intelligent redundancy) are paramount and were given priority in the design. This ambitious project excels by its rational approach to design choices through Total Cost of Ownership, direct communication within and outside the team and a distinct Whole System oriented approach. The approximately 600-bed hospital includes, in addition to a consultation center, a large medical-technical platform with 28 ISO5 and ISO7 operating rooms, medical imaging, cytostatics, endoscopy, 2 bunkers, intensive care and emergency service. Above that we find the accommodation rooms and consultations.

The design of the technical equipment takes into account the logical structure of the architecture aligned with the functionality of the hospital. A powerhouse outside the hospital contains the central technical installations. Energetically, a choice was made for a BTES, a thermal solar collector, cogeneration and high-performance hybrid coolers, making the hospital a benchmark here as well. Ingenium was also responsible for the advice and drafting of the maintenance contract. The hospital opened its doors in 2017.
