Ingenium is designing all the technical systems in this building: HVAC, plumbing and fire protection, medical gases, pneumatic tube systems, electrical systems, and elevators. The building will also house a power plant that will supply heating and cooling not only to the building itself but also to several surrounding buildings. Ingenium is also designing that power plant. We will also oversee and monitor the execution of the technical works.

The building is intensively ventilated; to this end, various air handling units are installed on the mechanical floors on levels 13 and 91 (basement).

A base power plant, equipped with air-to-water heat pumps and connected to the existing ATES at the Gasthuisberg site, supplies both the Phase 7 building and adjacent buildings with heating and cooling; this is supplemented by a peak cooling plant with additional air-to-water heat pumps.

The building is largely heated and cooled using climate ceilings.
