GRO is a sustainability meter for new construction, renovation, and redevelopment in Flanders. It measures energy consumption,CO2 emissions, material selection, and circularity.
Social aspects, such as accessibility, are also part of the assessment.

From policy objective to measurable result
1. CONTEXT ANALYSIS
We support building owners in competitions and context analyses. Ingenium can complete the entire Excel spreadsheet or perform specific analyses, such as daylight studies, energy scans, energy audits, EPCs, or technical installation measurements.
2. CONCEPT
We work with the project team and the client to define the ambitions. Our knowledge of later design phases ensures that these ambitions are both achievable and realistic.
3. DESIGN
We are fully involved in the technical design. Ingenium routinely addresses the themes of air, heat, energy, and indoor climate, and provides sub-studies or specific analyses (e.g., summer comfort, PV generation, water consumption, smart technology). Where necessary, we coordinate with the architect and other partners to ensure a coherent, sustainable design.
4. AUDIT AND FOLLOW-UP
During the audit and follow-up, we evaluate performance through interviews and data analysis, compile the findings in a report, and work with the client to translate this into an action plan with follow-up.
