We bring buildings to life, for life

The Vlaams Instituut voor Biotechnologie VIB) renewed the cooling system of a research building in Zwijnaarde. In order to make the optimal choice for this extensive investment, the VIB asked Ingenium to work out various scenarios. We took a broad look at what was possible on the site, and how energy could be exchanged with other facilities in the future. Besides the concept, we were also responsible for the concrete design and the follow-up of the implementation.

Is your building ready for the future? Soon it will not be you but your tenant who decides whether your office or shopping center is energy efficient enough. Buildings that are not energetically up-to-date will be less comfortable and more expensive to operate than new or renovated alternatives. That will make them less attractive on the rental market.

The Concertgebouw Brugge, an iconic arts center in the historic city of Bruges, is preparing for an innovative project: making the facade more sustainable by means of aesthetically integrated PV panels. Ingenium, specialized in innovative and sustainable solutions, is assisting the Concertgebouw as advisor and partner in this ambitious process.
