Aquafin energy study PV installation
Aquafin wants to treat wastewater in an ecological, renewable way. Among other things, PV installations are being installed on the sewage treatment plants for this purpose.
Ingenium investigated the feasibility, made the design and does the site follow-up.
Meanwhile in progress:
Ostend WWTP 1.12 MWp (net area of solar panels: approx. 0.8 hectares)
Harelbeke WWTP 1MWp (net area of solar panels: approx. 0.7 hectares)
The total cost of these 2 projects is: 1.8 million euros. The solar panels are mounted on a ground mount anchored with rammed posts.
The energy output of these 2 projects combined is enough to supply 550 families with their annual electricity needs.
