High-voltage preliminary design for a 36 kV connection and pre-design layout

We assisted the customer in upgrading its power grid.

In the initial phase, we developed various concepts for grid reinforcement. Based on these, we requested grid studies from Fluvius and Elia. We examined the costs and technical feasibility of connecting to the Fluvius 36 kV grid or the Elia grid (36 kV or 150 kV). In doing so, we took into account connection costs charged by the grid operator, internal investment costs, and the impact on grid tariffs.

Now that this phase has been completed and the final grid studies have been requested, we have begun designing the final solution: a connection to Elia’s 36 kV grid.
