Snijders and Rockox Museum
The air conditioning in the Rockox House—a 17th-century patrician residence converted into a museum—is provided by conditioned air that is supplied and exhausted through discreetly placed vents. This air is prepared in two air handling units. This creates a stable climate, which is essential for important works of art such as Rubens’ masterpiece “Samson and Delilah” from around 1610, which was exhibited for three months in 2007 in its original location, the chimney of the Rockox Museum. The assignment included the study and supervision of the renovation of the two air handling units at the Rockox Museum in Antwerp.
