Support from the Antwerp Fashion Museum for the installation of climate control systems in the storage areas and exhibition spaces

Ingenium is assisting the Fashion Museum in Antwerp in meeting the climate control requirements for its storage areas and exhibition spaces. The Fashion Museum is located in ModeNatie, a converted historic building dating from the late 19th/early 20th century. The most recent renovation took place in 2018, during which the technical systems were completely upgraded.

Ingenium's role:

- Analysis of the museum’s current organizational structure, building envelope, and technical systems for climate control, and verification of the systems’ sizing;

- Analysis of indoor climate measurement data for the museum and storage areas, and evaluation of the current performance of the climate control system;

- Developing a list of measures and an improvement strategy for indoor air quality and energy consumption;

- Developing a revised control strategy for the automatic control of the various ventilation and air conditioning systems;

- Guidance on the implementation of this revised control strategy and close monitoring of its impact on the indoor climate, up to the present day;

- Preparation of the design and bidding documents for modifications to the technical systems in the plastics recycling center (to begin shortly)
