Restoration Conservatory of Brussels
The building complex of the Royal Conservatory of Brussels still plays a prominent role in national musical life today, thanks in part to its magnificent concert hall and unique music library. The building dates from 1876 and is in urgent need of refurbishment. Ingenium is delighted to share its expertise to give this building back the appearance it deserves, working with FVWW, A2RC and Origin as architects and Bureau Ney for the stability. Obviously, this requires an integrated approach. After all, we want to preserve the historic character of the building as much as possible. Specific problems therefore require a specific approach. For example, the climate control of the concert hall will have to be worked out very meticulously in order to guarantee the comfort of the visitor on the one hand, but also to preserve the monumental character of the hall on the other. A fantastic challenge to which we are happy to contribute. Only in this way will the conservatory regain its original grandeur.
