Avant Jacob Jordaensstraat Energy Master Plan Study
The province aims to reduce energy consumption at its various sites and convert them into fossil-free sites by 2045.
For the Jacob Jordaensstraat campus, this means that suitable renewable energy sources must be identified in order to meet both current and future energy demand.
A strategic master plan is essential to effectively prepare for the energy transition and minimize the risk of lock-ins. In the coming years, this plan will explore how the transition to fossil-free heating can be achieved and will serve as a guideline for this campus's investment plan.
Based on a detailed inventory and analysis of the current situation, at least three energy scenarios were developed that are in line with the desired end state. The scenarios were compared both qualitatively and quantitatively on the basis of investment costs, energy consumption and costs, CO₂ emissions, impact on the EPC NR, and total cost of ownership. This integrated approach guarantees well-founded decision-making for the campus's energy transition.
