Bozar - Reconditioning southern roofs and exhibition circuit south
Paying particular attention to preserving the acoustic quality of the adjacent Henry Le Boeuf hall, Bozar's southern exhibition circuit was dismantled and equipped with new installations for electricity and air conditioning.
After the renovation of the northern exhibition circuit, the southern exhibition circuit has now been tackled at Bozar. This section is located on level 1, around the dome of the Henri Le Boeuf room, the room in which the Queen Elisabeth Competition takes place every year. Like the northern circuit, the halls are equipped with a fully automated air conditioning system with permanent control of temperature and relative humidity. A particular challenge here was the integration of the air groups into the architecture while maintaining the character of the roof structure and, above all, preserving the acoustic conditions of the Henri Le Boeuf hall, which is considered one of the best in the world. The halls were also equipped with electrical installations and the necessary protection against fire and theft. This challenge was met with brio and has already received masterpieces by the painter El Greco, among others.
