For UZ Leuven, a new pathological dissection laboratory was set up in the existing setting on the Gasthuisberg campus. Ingenium was responsible for the design and site supervision of the technical equipment.

The new pathological dissection laboratory at UZ Leuven was completed at the end of 2014. This is a specialized laboratory for cutting, handling and analyzing both fresh and fixed tissue samples. This setting was set up within the existing lab block. These are all laboratories with very high air requirements. On the one hand because of the high cooling loads, but also because of the use of formol (a gas heavier than air) so the labs were equipped with special exhaust tables that extract the fumes from the work surface. UZ Leuven wishes to expand the department with new cutting tables and space for processing samples.
