Ingenium was commissioned by UZ Leuven to draw up the energy plan for all buildings located on the Gasthuisberg site and managed by UZ Leuven (2006). The energy plan was updated in 2010.

In 2006, Ingenium was commissioned by UZ Leuven to draw up the energy plan for all buildings located on the Gasthuisberg site and managed by UZ Leuven. The energy plan was drawn up in accordance with the Energy Plan Decree and was declared compliant by the VEA (Flemish Energy Agency). It includes a global study and detailed studies of the various installations for HVAC and electricity. For the execution of some specific detailed studies, we collaborated with Daidalos-Peutz for the IR measurements and building physics advice and with Technofluid for the compressed air leak detection.

In 2010, the energy plan was successfully updated. All mandatory measures (including time control on the ventilation groups) were implemented by the UZ Leuven within this timeframe. A number of new savings proposals were identified, such as the (re)commissioning of the CHP.

These measures will be implemented by the hospital, according to the time frame specified in the Energy Plan.
