Royal FrieslandCampina charging infrastructure

Ingenium has long performed energy studies and engineering assignments for Royal FrieslandCampina. A new header station (type Schneider PIX, direct connection Fluvius) has already been built in 2019 to enable integration for a new CHP with a capacity of 1248 kWe. This already included the necessary reserve space to connect charging infrastructure or additional decentralized generation at a later stage.

In 2023, the charging infrastructure file was implemented, where a comprehensive phasing FrieslandCampina allowed for the installation of charging infrastructure with minimal impact on the production environment. In this process, the entire parking lot was provided with charging infrastructure or waiting tubes for future charging infrastructure, accounting for a total of 465 future charging points.

- Phase I: 10x AC 11 kW(realized)

- Phase II: 46x AC 11 kW(realized)

- Phase III: 80x AC 11kW (expected 2025)

- Phase IV: 329x AC 11kW (expected 2030)

Ingenium had an assignment here focused on guidance and unburdening that consisted of the following components:

- Consulting: discussing needs, business case, billing, steering, ...

- Engineering:

o Draft determination

o Phasing plans

o Power balance and cable calculations

o Implantation plans

o Principle diagrams and control diagrams.

o Estimate and measurement statement

- Competition and award:

o Review of offers quantitatively and qualitatively

o Conversations with providers

- Implementation

Alongside this, an additional study was conducted that creates a future vision for the installation of electric charging infrastructure at the FrieslandCampina site.
