Ingenium, together with TV BURO2-ARCHI I, Boeckx Architects and AAPROG, is designing the commercial kitchen of AZ ZENO in Knokke.

The galley on the new campus of AZ ZENO will serve for meal distribution in the new hospital on the Natiënlaan in Knokke, but also to the existing campus in Blankenberge. In addition, meals will be delivered to residential care centers, service centers, service flats and a nursery in the region. About 330 meals a day are consumed on the campus itself, 660 meals are distributed to the external care centers. The kitchen operates on the principle of a cold line and is operated entirely by AZ ZENO.

Ingenium is responsible for the design and follow-up during execution of, on the one hand, the kitchen plots (fixed kitchen equipment) and, on the other hand, the technical equipment (HVAC, electricity, sanitary facilities). The main kitchen will be realized in a separate building from the hospital, together with a dialysis department. The building has been provisionally completed.
