Located in Antwerp, just south of the Antwerp ring road, Blue Gate Antwerp is an eco-effective business park where sustainability is the norm. BGA consists of 3 different zones: a zone for knowledge activities, a zone for manufacturing companies and a logistics zone. The site comprises a total issuable area of approximately 33 hectares on an area of approximately 63 hectares. The layout of the site will take into account a high-quality natural and landscaping. The Energy Strategy for Blue Gate Antwerp prepared for BREEAM Communities criterion RE 01.

The study conducted includes 4 components:

• Energy demand and CO2 emissions of the reference scenario.
• Energy reduction through design measures.
• Energy study through decentralized energy supply.
• Energy reduction through renewable energy production.
