Theatre Construction
Culture is the artistic oxygen for the mind, heart, and soul of humanity. However, planning, designing, and constructing complex buildings for dance, music, and theatre requires considerable expertise.
The art of making a space for performing arts come alive and offering audiences, both domestically and internationally, an unforgettable experience is at the heart of Ingenium for theatre (TTAS).
The independent consultancy firm TTAS was founded in 1997. With projects completed both domestically and abroad, it has become a cornerstone in the cultural world. Since 2019, TTAS has continued its work in theatre construction under the name “Ingenium for theatre”.
What sets Ingenium for theatre apart is the combination of two expertise areas. On one hand, we advise architects on the concept of the auditorium and its surroundings. How can cultural infrastructure be spatially optimized? What are the ideal sightlines, stage dimensions, and dimensions of supporting spaces? How can we ensure that performances and concerts can be set up and dismantled under optimal conditions? On the other hand, we design all types of theatre technical installations such as sound, lighting, projection, motorized or computerized fly facilities, bridges, fixed or telescopic seating, and stage floors. Quality and sustainability are our guiding principles, along with flexibility, interference-free operation, and noiselessness. Our ultimate goal is to create the perfect setting to lead artists to peak performances and thrilled audiences.
These two areas of expertise – spatial scenography and theatre technologies – can also be consulted separately. However, their complementarity ensures that public buildings function optimally through seamless integration of technical systems into architectural design.
All projects by Ingenium for theatre are compiled in a comprehensive role portfolio, which you can download below.
