What are VLAIO greening scans?

A greening scan offers companies the opportunity to make their production processes less dependent on fossil fuels. These scans supported by VLAIO focus on making energy carriers more sustainable with the aim of reducing your final_{CO2 emissions} from your operations.

It covers a wide range of technologies, including connection to a heat grid, waste heat recovery, electric boilers, heat pumps, and more. But which technology is best suited for your situation? Ingenium will help you use a greening scan to make an informed recommendation. Since this is a subsidized form of advice, the Flemish Government is only temporarily offering a limited number of scans. Once the maximum number of scans has been reached, the service will be terminated.

A greening process consists of guidance in implementing market-ready technological capabilities and sharpening the business case. It has both a technological and a financial component. The execution time of a process is estimated at a maximum of three months. Ingenium can perform this scan for your company with the necessary knowledge and expertise.

Who qualifies for such a greening scan?

Companies and NPOs whose main activity is on the NACE code list can request a scan. This list can be found here: NACE List

The establishment in question must be located in the Flemish Region, and the scan can be performed for a maximum of two establishments. Two scans can be carried out per establishment, thus allowing 4 scans per company (2 establishments and 2 per establishment).

Legally required studies or measures (such as certain measures included in an Energy Plan or audit) do not qualify, study measures included in an EBO energy plan do.

What does this cost for you?

As a company, you pay only part of the cost of this scan; VLAIO pays 85%.

The full scan has a cost of €10,500 (excluding VAT), of which the entrepreneur pays only €1,575 (excluding VAT). This way, sustainable entrepreneurship also becomes financially feasible and together we look towards a greener future for your company.
