Virginie Loveling building ( VAC Ghent)
The Flemish Administrative Center (VAC) is a newly built office intended for the Flemish government, which was inaugurated in 2014.
The building's performance is in line with the Valuation Manual for Office Buildings used by the Flemish government's Agency for Facility Management (AFM) for all new large office buildings. The VAC Ghent is a four-star building. The VAC project consists of two parts: a low L-shaped building and a tower. With its 22 floors, this office complex will be the third tallest building in Ghent. The total surface area is 40,206 m². Approximately 1,300 Flemish civil servants will have their workplace here according to the principles of The New Way of Working.
Ingenium performs a commissioning assignment on behalf of the AFM. This involves a thorough and structured check that the technical systems in the building meet the imposed program of requirements. In addition to checking the installation according to the rules of good workmanship and the presence of all components, thorough functional operation tests are also imposed. Finally, it is also checked whether the building meets the 4-star rating in terms of comfort, sustainability and energy imposed by the Flemish government. Besides commissioning, Ingenium is also responsible for the start-up and initial follow-up of the maintenance company. A zero measurement based on the NEN2767 is also provided.
