Can heritage institutions also implement energy-saving measures?

Does the energy bill continue to be a pain point for you, too? This is also the case for collecting cultural heritage institutions. Due to the need for collection care, these institutions cannot always apply energy-saving measures. After all, different collection items have a "preferred climate. This preferred climate ensures that collection pieces can be well preserved for future generations.

Climate statement heritage institutions

Several Belgian and Dutch agencies joined forces to create a climate declaration for heritage institutions. The purpose of this climate declaration is that heritage institutions feel supported to take a close look at their indoor climate and, where possible, apply (slightly) wider ranges for humidity and temperature.

The document aims to be able to give the institutions some financial breathing space in the relatively short term. In doing so, we also hope to broaden the view and to see this as an opportunity to question our energy policy as a sector.

You can find the climate statement here.
