Newtec has a number of sites in Belgium, among others, that use the data center in Sint-Niklaas as a test lab. Availability is important for continuity of product development. Since the building is historic and requires investment, Newtec sought a partner to determine priorities and investment costs.

The assignment consisted mainly of an audit of the current cooling of the data centers to identify where the risks were located. Various scenarios were worked out in order to significantly increase operational reliability in combination with an investment plan. In addition, an audit was also carried out for the data centers on the basis of the TIA942 in order to identify other possible risk factors (electricity, environment, flooding, security, etc.) so that the necessary adjustments could also be budgeted for.
