Ingenium wins innovation award with BIMvisible at 'Belgian Construction Awards'

The Belgian Construction Awards, organized by bouwkroniek, aims to highlight and reward the craftsmanship of the construction industry. With the BIMVISIBLE APP, we achieved a great second place in the Innovation Process/IT category.

The intuitive BIMvisible app

The intuitive BIMvisible app that Ingenium developed together with Savaco and In The Pocket puts BIM models 'on' the real situation via Augmented Reality in actual size.

For example, by pointing your smartphone at a false ceiling, you "see" which technical components are located in that spot (without having to open up the ceiling). The information linked to each component - real-time info from sensors, the installer's contact information, etc. - is centralized in the app and easily accessible. This means huge time savings in solving comfort & other technical problems. In addition, one also obtains a much better insight into the installations. The test case at Vandemoortele's Food Experience Center in Ghent was already a success.
